In a nearly party line vote, Congressional Democrats decided you don’t need a bank to get a college loan…you need Uncle Sam.  According to the AP the vote broke down as follows:
A “yes” vote was a vote to pass the bill.
Voting yes were 247 Democrats and 6 Republicans.
Voting no were 4 Democrats and 167 Republicans.
